1. Cut: Measure the area and trim ScratchPatch to size with ordinary scissors.
2. Clean: Wipe the surface and let it dry fully. Dust is the #1 reason corners lift.
3. Peel & press: Remove the backing and press firmly from the centre outwards.
Tip: If the backing film is hard to start, stick a piece of tape on one corner and pull. It lifts right off.

Which size do I need?
Measure the area your cat scratches and add a few centimetres on each side. Rough guide: 30×30 for small spots and armrest fronts, 30×100 or 30×200 for sofa sides and door frames, and 40 cm or 60 cm wide for bigger areas. You can always cut it down.
Will it damage my furniture or walls?
The adhesive is strong, which is why it stays put. On sofas, chairs, doors and cat trees it works well. On painted walls or delicate fabrics, removing it later can lift paint or fibres, so test a small, hidden spot first.
Why won't it stick properly?
Almost always it's the surface. Wipe off dust and pet hair, let it dry fully, then press firmly for 30 seconds, especially the corners. On very textured or loose-weave fabric, add a few strips of double-sided tape or upholstery pins at the corners for extra hold.
Will my cat actually use it?
Put it exactly where they already scratch. That's the spot they've chosen. Rubbing a little catnip on it for the first few days helps them get the idea.
The backing film won't come off. Help?
Stick a piece of tape on one corner and pull the tape. The film lifts right off.
How do I clean it?
Vacuum it or use a lint roller. When it's worn after heavy use, simply replace it. That's why many customers keep a spare.
